With the 149th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals have selected TCU cornerback Josh Newton.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Newton was a six-year college player who spent four seasons at Louisiana Monroe before making his way to TCU for two years. Last season, he racked up 33 tackles, eight pass breakups, and an interception, earning a 76.9 Pro Football Focus grade.
In 2022, Newton made 35 tackles, 12 pass breakups, and three interceptions for the national champion runner-ups. He earned an excellent 82.0 PFF grade.
